Banjo Jim
I met Banjo Jim (aka Jim Croce) at my first Kerrville Folk Festival, in 1982. We hit it off well, picking there and when I visited him in Boulder and later New York City. He was the most tasteful banjo player ever, with sensitive ears and an ability to add to without distracting from virtually any musical style. In later years, he roadied for many great singers and bands, and never lost his pure and innocent love of all things musical. Keep on Pickin, Banjo Jim!
