As some of you know, I have been on a self-imposed vacation for most of the winter (okay, my timing could use work). I have had a wonderful time visiting old friends and beautiful places. I had one day where I saw the sunrise over the Grand Canyon, was in four states while standing on one foot, saw the sunset over the continental divide, and visited with my parents that evening in Colorado! I had my transmission replaced (again). I had the honor of recording a benefit concert for Greenbriar School in Bastrop, TX as well as talented youth in shelters in Oregon with my good friend, Peter Wilde. I played with my old friend Brian Cutean at a benefit concert for another old friend, Liza Loube. I sang old Irish songs for St. Patrick's Day in Detroit, Michigan with Diane Linn (the Bard O'Neill herself) and Garold Amadon. I visited Ground Zero. I spent time on my little tiny piece of the fabulous Virginia mountains, actually applying for preliminary building permits! Most of all, I spent time with my parents and my friends, doing things I enjoy (music!) and thinking about how lucky we all are. Speaking of lucky; In all of these travels, only once did I get a camera to record an event. I wish I had many of the others, but this one needed chronicling . . . . For those of you who have enjoyed using the van to travel the site, this will be of special interest . . . . . .
